What are your thoughts on wave specific kites? A lot of kite companies now have specific kites for riding surf, and they definitely work better than some of your "all around kites". But with most kiters only being able to afford a 2 or 3 kites in their quiver, do you have the funds to add 1 or 2 wave kites to your gear selection? We are anxious to see how the new Best Cabo performs here on the Gulf Coast. We don't get a lot of down the line type of surf, but more of punchy beach break, and A frame peaks, but there are some days where the swell lines up, and we are able to whack a section a good 3 or 4 times. Check out this new video from Best, really nice edit.

Doesn't matter the differences, until they can design a kite that untangles itself after getting rolled in the waves, no kite is good in the waves.

I'm stoked on a new wave kite line up! I think a lot of people are simply into the surfing side of the sport, rather than the all-around twin tip riders. It's nice to be able to have a wave specific kite that has light bar pressure, good drift, and quick turning. It's not like some kites aren't good for wave riding, but it's nice to have the option. Especially if it's what you specialize in. Like most free stylers use C-kites, and this is the other end of the spectrum, so it makes sense!
